In the 19th century, a park trail connected all estates of prince Frederik of the Netherlands, brother of King William II. This created a trail along all the beautiful locations and attractive views around the prince’s nine estates. The trail winds itself through the present municipalities of Wassenaar and Voorschoten. Prince Frederik’s park trail – or rather the set of park trails – is unique within The Netherlands.

Click the dots in the map below and learn more about the points of interest along the park trail. Many of these location have been commissioned by prince Frederik himself to be built or decorated by his architects.

Also available: a brochure (pdf, 2MB) about the park trail.
